Laundry Sign Redux

When I started this blog, I immediately made the decision to be completely honest.
Whatever DIY project I've done I was going to give you the good, the bad and the ugly.
Well here's one that failed on me...
Remember my sign I made with my silhouette?
Well... I'm guessing the heat in the laundry room or the craft paint I used for the canvas made the vinyl detach...
I was so bummed... UNTIL I came up with this brilliant idea.
I pulled out my new can of Paris Grey Annie Sloan Chalk Paint...
I gave it one coat of paint, and peeled off the vinyl.
And then I teared... and wanted to throw it away....
the letters didn't come off clean... (sorry no pics)

I threw it to the side for a few days... composed myself then...

After a few touch ups I outlined the letters with a sharpie and gave it some clear and dark wax.
I like it better now, do you?
The picture is not giving it justice. Its actually very clear...

I also redid my bathroom sign...
one of my kiddos decided it was a good idea to peel up the letters... (arggg...)
it went from this...
and with a little Annie Sloan Old White to this...
I'm determined to use this chalk paint for something!
